Voice-to-text allows you to use dictation to write a text message or email, search on Google, etc.
To use it:
- Go to Settings > General and select Keyboard.
- Toggle "Enable Dictation" to on.
- Once it's enabled, you can the Microphone icon in the bottom right corner of your keyboard and it will automatically start typing what you're saying.
- It works best when you speak slowly and enunciate.
- If you need to add punctuation, you can say things like "comma", "period", etc.
- Voice-to-text does make errors often, so it's best to check it before sending. It's easiest to first finish the dictation and then check for errors instead of trying to edit it while you speak.
