Preventing falls is all about balance, and this move helps build balance.
To do it:
- Stand a little less than shoulder width apart.
- Raise your knee up to your comfortability point and then count to 10.
- Move to the other knee.
- Your goal is to reach 30 seconds on each side. You can start with 10 seconds and add 5 seconds per day or as you think you're getting stronger.
- You can do this exercise whenever: while making coffee at home, standing at the line at the grocery store, etc.
